Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Family Affairs Council in the Field of Family Counseling and Guidance

On Sunday, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Family Affairs Council in the field of family counseling and guidance. The signing took place during the Family Forum 2024, the seventh edition of the event, organized by the council under the theme “Family and Family Counseling: Building Strength from Within in a Changing World.”

The Ministry was represented by His Excellency Sultan bin Jreis Al-Jreis, Deputy Minister for Social Development, while the Family Affairs Council was represented by Dr. Maimouna bint Khalil Al-Khalil, the Secretary-General of the Council.

The memorandum outlines a strategic partnership between the two parties, focusing on the exchange of statistical reports related to family matters, collaboration in studying and addressing family challenges, developing targeted surveys, and jointly enhancing community awareness about family counseling and how to utilize its services.

This memorandum reflects the Ministry's commitment to developing policies, plans, and programs related to family affairs and contributing to the promotion of mental health within the community, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
