Minsitry of Human Resources and Social Development imposes penalties for violating the Domestic Workers Regulation

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced the application of legal penalties against 222 employers for violating the Domestic Workers Regulation, as these violations included providing domestic workers' services to a third party, or allowing domestic workers to work for themselves, as well as assigning them to work that was not previously agreed upon, which resulted in the imposition of financial fines and depriving violators of the right to recruitment. The Ministry also issued decisions to suspend the licenses of 25 recruitment offices due to their non-compliance with the rules of the recruitment practices and the provision of labor services, including non-compliance with the payment of refunds to customers, and non-resolution of complaints of employers dealing with these offices.

At the same time, the Ministry issued a decision to withdraw the licenses of 11 recruitment offices for not meeting the minimum performance requirements based on the standards and requirements of the recruitment rules, and for violating a number of articles of the recruitment rules and not correcting them.

The Ministry noted that these procedures came as part of the ongoing monitoring efforts and follow-up of the recruitment sector, to ensure the application of the regulations and rules governing the practice of recruitment and the provision of labor services, which would preserve the rights of employers, and the development of the sector through the "Musaned" platform. Efforts are continuing to develop the recruitment sector and provide multiple and quality services to improve and facilitate the quality of services provided to individuals and raise the quality of services provided, and to continue to develop a mechanism to address complaints and disputes that may occur between the parties to the contractual relationship.

The Ministry called on everyone to report any violations related to the recruitment sector by calling Musaned number (920002866), or through the Musaned application available through smart phones.
