The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development is celebrating International Youth Day, which falls on August 12 each year, under the theme "Our Youth is a Treasure." This celebration aligns with the Ministry's efforts to increase youth contribution to development and enhance their global competitiveness by providing the necessary and suitable conditions to develop their abilities and strengthen their values within the community.

The Ministry is dedicated to empowering the youth of the nation, developing their talents, and enhancing their skills. At the beginning of the year, it launched the Youth Development Strategy, which commenced with 20 quality initiatives aimed at increasing youth participation in society and the labor market. The Ministry also established the General Administration for Youth Development to support young people, create a supportive regulatory environment, and overcome obstacles they face. This includes utilizing all resources to serve them, offering professional development programs, and activating volunteer management departments in non-profit organizations to achieve national aspirations by supporting and empowering youth in various fields.

Recently, the Ministry has held more than 15 workshops with different youth segments and related organizations to raise awareness of the Youth Development Strategy and its projects. Additionally, it launched the Professional Certification Project for Youth Workers by training 100 youth workers and equipping them with the best skills. This initiative aims to provide them with a professional track to enhance their skills and abilities. The Ministry supports the creativity and innovations of young national talents, focusing on developing their skills, training, and providing opportunities in the labor market as youth aged 15 to 39 constitute the largest segment of the population in the Kingdom, making them a fundamental base for economic and societal transformation across all sectors.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development aims to achieve its developmental strategy for youth and create an environment conducive to their progress and growth. This includes providing the necessary conditions to develop their capabilities and strengthen their values, thereby improving the indicators of youth development performance both nationally and internationally.
