The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development continues its pioneering efforts to develop the domestic labor recruitment sector through the "Musaned" platform, which has proven its worth as one of the most significant national initiatives in Saudi Arabia. Established in 2016, the platform aims to facilitate and document the recruitment process and protect the rights of both employers and domestic workers.

During the first half of 2024, the "Musaned" platform achieved several significant milestones, including the completion of 412,399 domestic labor recruitment contracts. New recruitment countries were added, such as Gambia, Burundi, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania, bringing the total number of available recruitment countries to 33. The platform introduced the "Transfer of Services from Individual to Individual" service, benefiting over 61,358 employers. The platform has implemented a unified electronic contract to safeguard the rights of both domestic workers and beneficiaries, with over 907 approved recruitment offices across various regions of the Kingdom. Additionally, the number of active overseas offices reached 8,286. The average duration for the arrival of domestic workers decreased by 11%, and more than 583,691 resumes were uploaded to the Musaned platform, with a 92% satisfaction rate reported by users.

In the first half of 2024, the Ministry enhanced "Musaned" with several key services and improvements to boost efficiency and improve user experience. New channels for transferring domestic worker salaries were introduced on the platform, including (Alinma Pay), (Enjaz Wallet), and (Mobily Pay), alongside previously approved options like (STC Pay) and (Your Pay). The "Insurance on Domestic Worker Contracts" was launched for new domestic workers arriving for the first time at an employer through the Musaned platform, benefiting over 358,980 individuals in the first half of the year. This step aims to protect all parties involved in the contractual relationship.

Additionally, a unified complaint channel was introduced to facilitate the submission and processing of complaints effectively and transparently, enhancing trust between beneficiaries and relevant authorities. The recruitment office evaluation system was improved to ensure better and more consistent services, and the ceiling on recruitment prices for high-demand countries such as the Philippines, Uganda, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Ethiopia was reduced to provide multiple and suitable options for employers. The platform also introduced health insurance for new domestic workers to ensure adequate healthcare provision and excluded humanitarian cases from financial charges, underscoring the Ministry's commitment to supporting people with disabilities.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development continues to review labor market regulations and enhance the quality of the recruitment sector and related policies, in line with its strategy to improve contracts between workers and employers and protect the rights of all parties involved.
