Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor Discusses Strategic Partnership with United Nations Resident Coordinator

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain, Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, recently met with His Excellency Mr. Mohamed El-Zarkani, United Nations Resident Coordinator in the Kingdom, along with his delegation at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.

Vice Minister Abuthnain welcomed Mr. El-Zarkani and his delegation, commending the United Nations for its significant role and effective relationships with member states. The meeting involved reviewing the most prominent existing and potential areas of cooperation between the Ministry and various UN agencies.

            Mr. El-Zarkani congratulated the Ministry on the recent ratification of Convention No. 187 on Occupational Safety and Health during the 112th Session of the International Labor Conference. He also acknowledged the progress made towards achieving the eighth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals for 2024. The discussions focused on developing the strategic partnership between the United Nations and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, particularly in relation to the decent work agenda. 

These meetings aim to explore and enhance joint cooperation with the United Nations and address issues of mutual interest.
