Acting Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Social Development Discusses Joint Cooperation and Sustainable Development with United Nations Coordinator

 His Excellency Eng. Sultan Al-Jurais, Acting Vice Minister for the Social Development Sector at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, met with His Excellency Mr. Mohamed El-Zarkani, United Nations Resident Coordinator in the Kingdom, and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry's headquarters.

Eng. Al-Jurais welcomed Mr. El-Zarkani, commending the United Nations for its significant role and effective relationships with member states. The meeting involved a review of the most prominent existing areas of cooperation between the Ministry and various specialized UN agencies. They discussed international best practices for poverty reduction and proposed holding a joint workshop between the specialized UN agencies and the Development Sector.

Mr. Al-Zarkani expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and appreciated the support provided by the Kingdom's government to the work of the United Nations and its multiple agencies. He also praised the significant development witnessed by the Kingdom in various fields.

These meetings aim to explore common aspects of cooperation with the United Nations, enhance collaboration, discuss issues of mutual interest, and unite efforts in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives.
