The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development held, on Tuesday, 28 April 2026, a “Discussion Session for the Sub-Fund for Supporting Youth Associations,” in the presence of the Deputy Minister for Community Development, Mr. Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Majed, with the participation of leaders of civil society organizations, supporting entities, and corporate social responsibility program directors. The session aimed to unify efforts and integrate resources to support and empower the youth sector.
The Sub-Fund for Supporting Youth Associations is one of the initiatives under the Youth Development Strategy implemented by the Ministry in partnership with the Associations Support Fund. It aims to empower youth-focused organizations, enhance their capabilities, and expand youth participation in development pathways, thereby contributing to the achievement of comprehensive development goals, fostering social innovation, and building a vibrant society and a thriving economy.
The session reviewed the Fund’s objectives, which focus on supporting and empowering youth associations through the development of high-quality programs, enhancing financial sustainability, and strengthening institutional capacity, in addition to supporting innovative initiatives with developmental impact. It also highlighted the Fund’s role in stimulating effective partnerships among government entities, the non-profit sector, and the private sector, thereby promoting the integration of efforts in serving youth.
The session further discussed the Fund’s target groups, which include youth associations, leaders of civil society organizations, donor entities, and corporate social responsibility program managers, with the aim of unifying efforts and directing them toward supporting youth initiatives and projects with sustainable impact.
In his remarks during the session, Mr. Al-Majed emphasized the importance of investing in youth potential as a fundamental pillar for achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. He noted that empowering young people and developing their capabilities represent a strategic priority for the Ministry, pursued through high-quality initiatives and integrated partnerships. He also commended the contributions of leaders in both the non-profit and private sectors, affirming that the Ministry is mobilizing all its capabilities and resources to strengthen this collaboration and achieve the desired developmental impact.
The session also addressed the key anticipated outcomes of the Fund, including enhancing the sustainability of youth associations, building strategic relationships with donor entities and civil society organizations, and clarifying the Ministry’s role in supporting and empowering youth development and activating related initiatives.
These efforts come as an extension of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s commitment to strengthening the youth sector system and advancing its vision of building “an ambitious and impactful youth capital locally and globally,” in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
