As part of the efforts of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to advance the labor market, and in light of the growing need to develop national capabilities in line with evolving requirements, the “Waad” Skills and Training Forums, organized by the Ministry, have emerged as one of the qualitative initiatives aimed at enhancing the readiness of national workforce and improving their professional competencies.
The forums witnessed remarkable attendance and broad engagement from various segments of society. They were held across several regions of the Kingdom, including Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the Eastern Province, Jazan, and the Northern Borders Province, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to expanding impact and reaching beneficiaries across different provinces.
The events featured a diverse range of activities, including specialized training workshops, dialogue sessions with the participation of a select group of experts and specialists, as well as informational exhibitions showcasing key programs and initiatives in the fields of skills development and vocational qualification, reflecting the integration of efforts among relevant stakeholders.
The forums aimed to raise awareness of the importance of skills development, promote a culture of lifelong learning, and align training outcomes with labor market needs. This contributes to empowering individuals to acquire specialized skills that enhance their employment opportunities and increase their competitiveness.
The forums also provided an interactive platform that brought together training providers and representatives of the private sector, strengthening opportunities for partnership and integration, and contributing to the alignment of training programs with the actual needs of the labor market.
The events witnessed wide participation from various entities, with more than 72 partners involved and over 19,000 visitors in attendance. This reflects the growing interest in skills development initiatives and underscores the importance of investing in human capital.
These efforts come as an extension of the Ministry’s commitment to developing the training and qualification system and enhancing the readiness of national workforce, in support of Saudi Vision 2030 objectives to build a prosperous economy driven by qualified national competencies.
